These evening events offer an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of a leader who shares, inspires and gives-back. It’s an opportunity for our members - leaders and emerging leaders - to connect with similar-minded C-level professionals after work. Our members include Chairmen, C-level professionals, President and Vice Presidents of public and private and companies within a wide range of industries, including old and new media, retail, information services, manufacturing, executive recruiting, financial service firms, and sales and marketing. The Forums are held in mid-town NYC.

Leader Connections is proud to host our next Executive Forum featuring Jonathan Peachey, the CEO of Virgin Management USA, the regional headquarters of Virgin Group in North America.

Virgin is a leading branded venture capital organization and one of the world's most recognized and respected brands with more than 200 branded companies worldwide, employing approximately 50,000 people in 29 countries.

Jonathan joined Virgin in 1998 from Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in London, and has held various corporate development and investment management positions within Virgin Group. He moved to the U.S. in 2006 to support the development and launch of Virgin America, a new U.S. domestic airline that seeks to make flying good again.

He is a senior member of the Virgin Aviation Team, serving on the boards of Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays. He was one of the founding members of the team developing Virgin's commercial space endeavor, Virgin Galactic, and serves on its board of directors. He is also a Trustee of Virgin Unite USA, the U.S. arm of Virgin's charitable foundation that promotes entrepreneurial solutions to social and environmental issues.

Mr. Peachey is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and holds a bachelors degree with Honors in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick, England. He currently lives in New York City.

A portion of each ticket sold will go to support Virgin Unite USA, the charitable arm of Virgin Group.

June 23, 2010 - Honoree - Fred Teng - Mr. Teng has spent over a decade working in the financial industry, with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, and then with Oppenheimer & Co., he spearheaded the expansion of Oppenheimer's financial services into the Asia market. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Hong Kong Association of New York, Chairman of Diageo's Marketing Advisory Board, President of the Chinese Community Relations Council, and is a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Mr. Teng was also appointed to the National Advisory Board of the Small Business Development Centers, and New York City's Minority Women Business Enterprise Advisory Board.

October 14, 2009 - Honoree - Ira Neimark - Ira Neimark is a legendary retail executive whose career spans several decades. As Chairman and CEO of Bergdorf Goodman he set records for the company over the 17 years of his masterful leadership. He also distinguished himself in top management/ merchandising posts at the Neiman Marcus Group, B. Altman, Fox, Gladdings and Bonwit Teller. Mr. Neimark's recent book, Crossing Fifth Avenue to Bergdorf Goodman is a must read for anyone who wants to understand luxury retailing and/or the power of Leader Connections. Calvin Klein recently said "Ira Neimark set the standard for a chief executive in retailing. He turned Bergdorf Goodman into a leading fashion store in the U.S. and how he did it is a must read for any one interested in fashion."

June 4, 2009 - Honoree - Peter Cuneo - Taking a company through a turnaround is difficult, and nine out of 10 will fail. Peter Cuneo, Vice Chairman of Marvel Enterprises described in detail the types of gut-wrenching restructuring decisions Marvel needed to make, which included moving away from entrenched business strategies. Seven years later, the company's streamlined operations are focused on utilizing its established character franchises in licensing, entertainment, publishing and toys. Marvel adopted a licensing model, kept track of its cash and focused on live action motion pictures to re-launch its characters worldwide.
