In September of 2011, Leader Connections and the Silk Road Group's US subsidiary, SRTA, proudly hosted an investment summit featuring the President of the Georgian Republic, Mikhail Saakashvili
The summit featured over 100 prominent guests and participants from US business circles, including Mr. Michael Milligan, President of Verizon Global Wholesale; Mr. Fred Goldring, a member of President Obama's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities; Mr. Michael Cohen, Vice President of the Trump Organization; and Mr. Michael A. Neal, CEO of GE Capital.
At the summit, the National Geographic Society (NGS) and Silk Road Group (SRG) signed a Letter of Intent to issue the first ever edition of the National Geographic magazine in Georgian. The Presidents of NGS Publishing and NGS Entertainment personally attended the signing ceremony.
Leader Connections awarded Mr. Saakashvili the prestigious "Trailblazer Award" for his achievements in Georgia as a strong and progressive leader. The award was presented by Mr. Michael Milligan, President of Verizon Global Wholesale.
Speakers included Mr. Giorgi Marr, Director of SRG Investments and Mr. Archil Gachechiladze from the Bank of Georgia.
Ms. Vera Kobalia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia discussed investment opportunities in Georgia at the Summit.
